Donating my body to science

This past couple of weeks I've taken my role as PhD student laboratory rat to extreme levels. Here's a collection of experiments to which I've donated my body recently:

1. I participated in experimental fMRI brain scans.

2. I measured my auditory evoked potentials as part of the student teaching laboratories.

3. I allowed a student optometrist to measure my vision.

4. I allowed a qualified optometrist to take photos of my retina as part of a research study.

5. I allowed a research scientist to apply a small electric current to my scalp over my visual cortex and measure whether this changed my vision or my brain activity.

It's only fair if the experimenter becomes the experimented!
