I find psychopathy fascinating. I wonder how many top policemen, CEOs, etc, are actually psychopaths who have obtained their positions of power through the inability to care about anyone else's life.
Apparently there's a test that gives you a 'psychopathy' rating. I find it difficult to understand how a questionnaire could fool the most cunning people in society. But anyway, apparently its possible.
Let's use jailed psychopaths for fMRI studies on empathy. A good idea. However, I wonder how good these cunning people are likely to be as research participants?
I find it ironic that listed under 'related neuroscience stories' on 'Neuroscience News' is the article titled: People Control Thoughts Better When They See Their Brain Activity. I'm just imagining the psychopaths changing their brain activity somehow during the experiment...
I wish I could do that. Damn those psychopaths.
